The standard double room with a double bed had all necessary amenities. The hotel had a perfect and prime location close to Reigate Hill Footbridge. And the area was fairly quiet, adjacent to Reigate for shops and restaurants, and the restaurant.

Large room with balcony, lots of space, air conditioning.
The hotel is located on a very busy road, also with truck traffic, close to the highway. That is why the traffic was loud at night. The furniture is getting old, the bathroom has not been modernized and looks old (white tiles, for example). Generally, the rooms look as if they could use a renovation.

We had an English breakfast which was free.

Overall it was good value for money. However, if the price were to be 220% higher I would probably have looked at alternatives.
The staff did not look particularly happy and certainly the bedroom staff seemed unfriendly, not even saying good morning. Also, given the space in the bathroom the shower cubicle is ridiculously small.

I liked that it was close to the golf course (Walton Heath), easy to get to from London Gatwick, and very tidy.

The bridge was conveniently located just off the m25. The bed in our room was nice and clean, a relief. Guests appreciated the relaxing atmosphere, nice for a quick rest during our journey.

After a 2 million pound refurbish I expected more. The ceilings were unfinished, electric in the bar aged, the balcony was in a poor state, the facia was falling off, there was an old car exhaust, old sofa seats and pallets outside under the balcony, more like a butlins than a hotel!!

Decent stay with a nice view
We stayed for 2 nights in a standard double room and loved the view from our balcony! It was super relaxing. The customer service could have been a bit better. Oh, and the parking situation was kinda rough, didn't expect to deal with those charges. The bar area was nice though!
